FALL 2014 NHS GIRLS SOCCER TRYOUTS

Dates

Tryouts will be Aug 4 - 6. We'll start 9:00 sharp and go until 11:30. Monday, we'll start on the track in tennis shoes, then move to field by 9:30. Please wear proper cleats and SHIN GUARDS for the rest of tryouts. Please bring plenty of water.

Registration

This year, the registration process in all on-line. The only form we will collect will be the Physical Form A. Everything else will be submitted on line. Please use the following link to start registration on the RegisterMyAthlete website:    http://uhsaa.org/train.html
You need to create a login and register your athlete. Fees are not collected until after tryouts. 
Please complete the online registration, except Fees and Physical Form A BEFORE tryouts August 4th.

Medical Physical

Each player will need a Physical "Form A" completed AFTER tryouts (8/6), but BEFORE first game (8/12). Forms are found on the RegisterMyAthlete website towards the end of the process. We need to collect these before our first game 8/12. Please make appointments now for the physical, since there is a very short window to get these completed. Form B are no longer accepted.

Fees

Fees for 2014 are finalized. There are no fees for tryouts, only players that make the team will pay fees. The player registration fees for all admin costs is $90. Also, each player must pay $163.40 for player pack apparel items. Player pack include 2 game shorts, 2 game socks, warm up pants, warm up jacket and game day shirt. All player pack items are kept by the player. Jerseys are owned by the school and will be handed out and collects back after the season. So total amount due is $253.40. Please pay in the NHS Main office starting 8/7 and bring Coach Auger a receipt by 8/12.

Results

We'll post tryout results each night on this website by 5:00. We'll post the first initial and last name of players that are invited back for the next day.

Car Wash - 8/17/13 - MANDATORY

Team Car Wash Fundraiser (MANDATORY)


Car wash from 10:30 - 3:30. Car wash prices are $5 for students and $7 for non-students. Each player must commit at least 2 cars to come. Have them mention your name so you get credit. Also, each player must work at least 2 hours on Sat. Please come ready to get wet.

Car Wash is at Patriot Car Wash (Team Sponsor) located on North Side on Highway 193 near Church Street. Same parking lot as new Maverick.

Forms

Almost completed with all Forms. Any missing forms were handed out tonight. Please return as soon as possible to Coach Auger or to the office.

Fees

State Fees are around $90. Player Pack will be around $140. Once we get final price quotes from printers, we'll let you know and you will be asked to go to the main office at NHS and pay all fees. This will be next week or the week after

Fundraisers

Ligori's Pizza and Patriot Car Wash are both local fundraisers.  Players can work directly with these vendors. If you are interested, please contact Bridgette Bertagnoli via email for more info at:

Also, players can sell RIDGE SOCCER FAN shirts. These shirt were funded by our two corporate sponsors. We've agreed to sell these to family members and NHS students for $5. But, players can sell these at a higher price to extended family, neighbors or co-workers for more than $5. Players can either check out shirts from Coach Auger after practices and return $5 per shirt OR take shirt orders ahead of time.  So if Grandma wants a shirt and wants to donate $20, then the team gets $5 and the player keeps $15 to apply to fees. They can also sell NHS sandles for increased prices.

Photographers

Our offical team photographer is Neil Adams Photography.  He'll also be at most games. We charges a small fee at the end of the season if you'd like to buy his packages. He's barely covering his costs. Plan on $20 to $30 is you are interested. His number is 801 309-0201 and email is ourcameraguy.smugmug.com.

We've also asked several parents to take photos at practices to help capture the season. If anyone takes a great photo and would like to share, please email them to: Jon_Auger@RMFCO.com

We need every parent and player to watch the "Heads Up" Concussion video and then print out the form on the web page. (This was the purple form from original packets, so I have half of the team's already. The Video is 10 minutes long and there are also one page fact sheets for parents and players.
