Car Wash - 8/17/13 - MANDATORY

Team Car Wash Fundraiser (MANDATORY)


Car wash from 10:30 - 3:30. Car wash prices are $5 for students and $7 for non-students. Each player must commit at least 2 cars to come. Have them mention your name so you get credit. Also, each player must work at least 2 hours on Sat. Please come ready to get wet.

Car Wash is at Patriot Car Wash (Team Sponsor) located on North Side on Highway 193 near Church Street. Same parking lot as new Maverick.

Almost completed with all Forms. Any missing forms were handed out tonight. Please return as soon as possible to Coach Auger or to the office.

Fees

State Fees are around $90. Player Pack will be around $140. Once we get final price quotes from printers, we'll let you know and you will be asked to go to the main office at NHS and pay all fees. This will be next week or the week after

Fundraisers

Ligori's Pizza and Patriot Car Wash are both local fundraisers.  Players can work directly with these vendors. If you are interested, please contact Bridgette Bertagnoli via email for more info at:

Also, players can sell RIDGE SOCCER FAN shirts. These shirt were funded by our two corporate sponsors. We've agreed to sell these to family members and NHS students for $5. But, players can sell these at a higher price to extended family, neighbors or co-workers for more than $5. Players can either check out shirts from Coach Auger after practices and return $5 per shirt OR take shirt orders ahead of time.  So if Grandma wants a shirt and wants to donate $20, then the team gets $5 and the player keeps $15 to apply to fees. They can also sell NHS sandles for increased prices.

Photographers

Our offical team photographer is Neil Adams Photography.  He'll also be at most games. We charges a small fee at the end of the season if you'd like to buy his packages. He's barely covering his costs. Plan on $20 to $30 is you are interested. His number is 801 309-0201 and email is ourcameraguy.smugmug.com.

We've also asked several parents to take photos at practices to help capture the season. If anyone takes a great photo and would like to share, please email them to: Jon_Auger@RMFCO.com

We need every parent and player to watch the "Heads Up" Concussion video and then print out the form on the web page. (This was the purple form from original packets, so I have half of the team's already. The Video is 10 minutes long and there are also one page fact sheets for parents and players.

NHS Parent/Player Meeting (MANDATORY) - Thursday Aug 15th

NHS Parent/Player Drug Test Meeting (MANDATORY)

Thurs Aug 15th - 7:00 PM @ NHS Auditorium


Davis School District has started the random testing of athletes, SBO's, and cheerleaders.  The NHS parent/student/athlete meeting will be held on Thursday, August 15th at 7:00 pm in the auditorium.  This is mandatory for all of these groups plus parents.  A parent/guardian must accompany these students to listen to the general information and sign the waiver form.  If they do not attend this meeting a few negative things will occur.  Here they are:

If a parent refuses to sign the waiver their athlete will not be able to play, no exceptions.

After the due date of August 26th if they have not done the info meeting that athlete will not be allowed to practice or play until the waiver has been turned in to me. Then I will put them on the State elig. list.

The first random testing will begin August 28th.

Our first game is next Tuesday at home against Odgen. Per NHS Girls Soccer tradition, the team and parents kick the year off with the BBQ at NHS Parking Lot the night before. The team will practice from 5:30 - 7:30 PM. There will be a BBQ right afterwards. Food assignments will be made to the players/parents. Bridgette Bertagnolli, our team mom, will be there and will outline the activities for the team.

BBQ starts at 7:30. Here are the food assignments.

Team, this is an optional activity. We have a float in the South Weber parade. You need to be at the Park n Ride on South Weber Drive and HW 89 (Green 1 on map below) at 10:30 AM this Sat. We will wear our red "Ridge Soccer" shirts. The parade ends at Central Park (Yellow 2) around 12:15. The best viewing is at the (Red 3). The parade route is along South Weber Drive.

We'll be throwing candy to crowd. We'll be right behind the NHS football team. We should come armed with water guns and balloons. There is a carnival and food afterwards at central park.

We are practicing 10 AM to Noon on Friday. We will be handing out uniforms during practice.

Right after practice, we are heading over to Jon and Debbie Auger's for a swim party from Noon to 4:00 PM. We'll provide lunch and will also be working on the Float for South Weber Days Parade this Sat.  This is an OPTIONAL activity. Here's a map to the Augers:
